Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Modality Technical Specialist Schedule: Day Shift; M-F (9:00am - 5:30pm) Rotation: Individual will be scheduled as a working technologist 4 days of the week and provided 8 hours of office time. Location: Loyola Medical Center & support Satellites as needed Looking for Champions to join our growing Team Senior level Tech experienced (Radiology Technologist) Specialist required About the Job In this role the Radiology Imaging X-Ray Modality Technical Specialist, in collaboration with the Radiology Leadership, including Physician Leader(s), functions as the technical "subject matter expert". This position is charged with the development & implementation of all clinical imaging protocols for the region. The Radiology Imaging X-Ray Modality Technical Specialist acts as the chief educator/super trainer for all staff, Clinical Instructor, Scanner Accreditations, oversees all Safety protocols and all research projects, directs quality for the modality, and serves as a liaison between the equipment vendor, physicians, & staff. In addition, this person performs technical procedures, applying modality specific techniques that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to provide the physician with the highest quality of diagnostic information. What you’ll need Associate degree; or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology; Radiology Technologist- AMA approved program 3-5 years of previous job‑related experience May require on‑call, weekend, holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant.
