Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Supervisor for the Blood Bank department at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. The role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring quality testing, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Evening and rotating weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Blood Bank department operations and ensure timely, accurate test result reporting
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel and provide ongoing coaching
• Monitor workflow, schedule assay coverage, and ensure proper department staffing
• Research and resolve production errors, evaluate process improvements, and maintain Quality Assurance records
• Perform bench work as needed and ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 5+ years clinical laboratory testing experience
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Experience in high-volume laboratory environment

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
