Admin Support Specialist - Contributing Position Summary: The Testing Assistant will work in the University Compliance Office’s Testing Center, an on‑site location for students to take exams with disability accommodations. This time‑limited, one‑year, 30‑hour per week position is part‑time and may include a hybrid work arrangement with a partially remote component, consistent with system policy. The role involves all aspects of graduate, undergraduate, and professional student testing coordination: Facilitating testing by ensuring appropriate implementation of accommodations. Proctoring exams and preparing exam materials. Answering email and phone inquiries related to testing. Scheduling exams, checking materials, and maintaining confidential exam records. Collecting data related to exams and benchmarking. Assisting with administrative duties for accommodating final examinations and commencement, which may require work outside normal hours. Job duties also include assisting the Testing Coordinator with administrative tasks related to the Testing Center and exam proctoring. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of the university environment and ability to work with students, faculty, staff, parents/families, and community partners. Experience with PeopleSoft, Excel, and other sensitive data management platform(s). Knowledge of the legislative framework governing the unit’s work. Special Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to work on‑site. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities: This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act and requires reporting Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and completing annual training. Position/Schedule Requirements: Evening and occasional weekend work, including during finals.
