Transform Lives Through Communication in Beautiful Florida – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us
Imagine a career that inspires you to empower voices every single day. As a Speech Language Pathologist within the captivating surroundings of Tallahassee, your role will transcend the conventional boundaries of treating communication and swallowing disorders. You'll not only nurture potential but also reinstate confidence and forge genuine connections—helping little ones articulate their first words, while assisting seasoned adults in regaining independence through effective communication.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to connect with diverse individuals across all age groups, harmonizing outpatient therapy with select inpatient care. Whether your expertise lies in pediatric language acquisition, neurogenic communication challenges unique to adults, or cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation among seniors, you're sure to find a sense of accomplishment and adaptability in our dynamic setting.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tools and observational techniques.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals while addressing comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Engage with patients in one-on-one therapy sessions that target language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing enhancement.
Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and other stakeholders to establish integrated care plans.
Provide education and guidance for patients and families fostering progress beyond treatment sessions.
Participate in periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a fluid continuum of care throughout their healing process.
Maintain precise and prompt documentation adhering to local, federal, and clinic-specific guidelines.
Commit to your professional growth by staying current with industry advancements through ongoing education and teamwork.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices for all age groups, combined with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities to connect with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
A skillful adaptability in therapeutic approaches to embrace diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sharp clinical insight and effective problem-solving skills for patient care.
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
Competitive salary based on experience.
Work-life balance supported by flexible scheduling options.
Specialization opportunities in pediatric care, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
Continuing education reimbursement and career development initiatives.
A collaborative workplace emphasizing quality care and lifelong learning.
In this position, your contributions will go beyond speech therapy; you'll become an integral part of a mission aimed at restoring voices, enhancing communication skills, and creating touching moments through the most profound aspects of humanity: connection and clarity.
Join a team of proficient professionals who view one another as more than just colleagues, in a workplace that values collaboration and care above all else. Each patient brings a unique story—your expertise will help frame how it is communicated and appreciated.
