The Accounting Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of the corporate accounting department. Supervise direct reports to ensure regulatory compliance and improve policies and procedures for efficiency and accuracy. Duties and Responsibilities Manage accounting operations including month and year-end process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, fixed asset activity and debt activity. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Coordinate and support annual audits. Suggest improvements to systems and procedures. Assign projects to direct reports, in order to ensure compliance and accuracy. Meet financial accounting objectives and reporting deadlines. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions. Other projects and duties and assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience. Proven management experience leading a team of Accountants. Proficiency in Yardi. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software/databases. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. High attention to detail and accuracy.
