Job Overview Dakota City Plant Heavy Skill General Production Processing/Harvest – New hire sign‑on bonus up to $5,000. The role involves operating knives and hooks, handling foods, and working on a moving table or chain. Tasks include pushing, lifting, and pulling weights up to 80lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in varying environmental conditions (cold, hot, humid). PPE must be used at all times. Key Responsibilities Operate knives and hooks safely and efficiently. Push, lift, and pull weights up to 80lbs using proper techniques. Work on a moving table or chain and stand for the duration of the shift (often >8hrs). Maintain compliance with PPE requirements. Work in varying environmental conditions (cold, hot, humid). Qualifications & Requirements 1‑month prior experience in a meat processing facility. Physical strength to handle 80lb loads. Ability to work on a moving chain or table. Comfortable working in hot and cold environments. Commitment to wearing and using all required PPE. Endurance for prolonged standing. Experience in one of the following roles preferred: Harvest – 1st Butter, 2nd Butter, Low Backer, 1st Legger, 2nd Legger, Rib Beef, Knocker/Shackler. Processing – 13th Rib/Finger & Bottom Bones, Pull Ap Bn/Pdl/Bn/Mt, Top Boners, Rib Bonner, Drop Rounds, Tender Pullers.
