Import Coordinator

Janel Group is seeking an Import Coordinator to join our team! If you're a high-energy, focused freight forwarding professional who wants to continue building your freight-forwarding career with a customer-focused, fast-paced industry leader, we'd love to talk! Primary responsibilities include:

• Coordinating inbound shipments with overseas agents, carriers, and customers, including domestic operations
• Tracking shipments from departure through final delivery and maintaining accurate records in the internal systems
• Proactively resolving logistics and transportation issues with a strong customer-focused approach
• Communicating shipment status, updates, delays, and ETAs to customers to ensure full visibility and satisfaction
• Creating and monitoring exception reports in a timely and consistent manner
• Collecting required documentation, verifying charges, and supporting billing accuracy
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and basic import regulations

Qualifications include:

• Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, preferred but not required
• 2+ years relevant freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or domestic distribution experience, preferred but not required
• Microsoft Suite experience, preferred but not required
• Cargowise software experience, preferred but not required
