Restoration Estimator (Commercial Focus)Columbia, SC | Full-Time | Starting at $26/hourPulliam Restoration is hiring a disciplined, detail-driven Restoration Estimator to join our growing Estimating Division. While we handle both residential and commercial work, this role carries a strong commercial focus - including large-loss mitigation, complex scopes, and fast-moving environments. This is not a "quick sketch and send it" position. We operate on EOS. We track performance. We protect margin. And we move with urgency. This role directly impacts company profitability. We are looking for someone who can step into a structured system, take direction from our Estimating Division Manager, and execute consistently at a high level. If you can walk into a damaged property, think critically, build a defensible scope, and deliver a clean estimate within 48 hours - we want to talk to you.What You'll DoInspect commercial and residential fire, water, mold, and storm lossesProduce rough estimates within 24 hours of inspectionDeliver complete, defensible estimates within 2 business daysBuild scopes that account for sequencing, materials, labor, and real-world conditionsMaintain intentional margins (actual ≥ projected)Communicate professionally with adjusters and clientsCollaborate daily with PMs, Operations, and the Job File CoordinatorKeep documentation clean and updated in our management systemParticipate in weekly estimating review meetingsWhat Success Looks Like (We Measure It)Estimates sent within 48 hoursWin ratio ≥ 50%Consistent productivity in a 40+ hour work week, with additional hours during high-volume periods to support client demand and maintain turnaround standardsWhat We're Looking For2+ years of estimating experience in restoration, construction, or insuranceExperience with commercial properties preferred (office, retail, multifamily, industrial, etc.)Proficiency in Xactimate or comparable estimating softwareGeneral/basic proficiency in Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Etc.)Strong understanding of building materials and mitigation processesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously without sacrificing accuracyComfortable receiving feedback and improving within a structured processTakes ownership of deadlines and margin performanceHighly organized and detail- orientedComfortable working in a high-accountability, fast-paced environmentWillingness to flex schedule during surge events or high-volume periodsStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's licenseResidential-only experience is welcome - but the ability to think through larger, more complex commercial scopes is essentialThis role is best suited for an estimator who values structure, accountability, and continuous improvementCompensation & BenefitsStarting at $25/hour, with potential for higher compensation based on experience and demonstrated capabilityCompany vehicle access and fuel cardCompany laptop and phoneMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time off and holidaysClear growth path within an EOS-run organizationAbout Pulliam RestorationFor nearly 30 years, Pulliam Restoration has served South Carolina and the Southeast as Commercial Restoration Experts™.
