Overview
Our client is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations within a growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate, or an early-career accounting professional, who is looking to build hands-on experience and grow into a Junior or Staff Accountant role over time.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and excited to develop within an accounting department. This role will provide exposure to accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, accounts payable, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

Key Responsibilities

• Post cash receipts and apply customer payments accurately
• Assist with junior-level billing, including preparing and issuing customer invoices
• Support accounts receivable processes by monitoring outstanding balances and following up on past-due invoices
• Handle basic accounts payable processing and related documentation
• Maintain accurate customer billing records
• Research and resolve routine billing or invoice discrepancies
• Assist with account reconciliations and other accounting support as needed
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties to support the finance team
• Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate accounting processes

Qualifications

• Recent degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour/week schedule
• 1–2+ years of accounting, finance, billing, AR, AP, or internship experience preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow within an accounting department
• Positive attitude and willingness to support a variety of transactional accounting tasks
