Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-entity organization to identify a detail-oriented and adaptable Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, treasury, entity management, and financial-reporting needs of a high-volume, multi-entity organization. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and helping integrate accounting processes and systems as the organization continues to grow through mergers and acquisitions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and bookkeeping, has substantial reconciliation experience, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities across entities, bank accounts, and operating companies. This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, dependable, and able to research and resolve discrepancies independently.

Experience:

• Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for multiple entities in a high-volume environment.
• Prepare, enter, review, and post journal entries; maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting documentation.
• Complete detailed bank, credit-card, intercompany, balance-sheet, and other account reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account analysis, reconciliations, accruals, and required schedules.
• Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports, management reporting packages, and supporting schedules.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice coding, processing, vendor maintenance, payment support, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Support accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment application, collections follow-up, customer account maintenance, and reconciliation of outstanding balances.
• Assist with cash-management and treasury-related responsibilities, including monitoring bank-account activity, supporting cash-position reporting, processing transfers, and maintaining banking documentation.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with banking contacts and assist with bank-account setup, account maintenance, authorized-user updates, and other banking needs.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, unreconciled items, and process-related issues.
• Assist with the accounting needs of newly acquired entities, including integrating accounting processes, systems, chart-of-account structures, documentation standards, and reporting procedures.
• Help identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, increase efficiency, and enhance reporting accuracy as the organization grows.
• Maintain organized, complete, and audit-ready accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting, payroll reconciliations, and reporting as needed.
• Partner with internal departments, outside vendors, banking partners, and external accounting professionals to support timely and accurate financial operations.
• Perform other accounting, bookkeeping, financial-reporting, and special-project responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• At least three years of progressive accounting, bookkeeping, staff accounting, or related experience.
• Experience supporting a high-volume, multi-entity organization required.
• Demonstrated experience with heavy account reconciliations, including bank, credit-card, balance-sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of general-ledger accounting, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, account analysis, and month-end close.
• Experience with cash management, treasury functions, bank accounts, and banking relationships preferred.
• Prior experience supporting company growth, acquisitions, entity integrations, accounting-system conversions, or process improvements is highly desirable.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to work confidently with formulas, sorting/filtering, lookup functions, pivot tables, and large data sets.
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing or payroll-related accounting is a plus.
• Experience with Yardi is a plus, particularly for candidates with real estate, property-management, or multi-entity accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to research issues and bring forward practical solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively across multiple entities and deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with leadership, internal teams, vendors, and banking partners.
• Dependable, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential financial information.

Competitive Compensation: Strong market-based salary in the $65-75k range, depending on experience, along with annual growth potential, potential bonus opportunity, 401(k) match, PTO, and additional perks.
