Space Planning Analyst / Senior Space Planning Analyst, Office of Space Management (FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE) [R0150624] University of Nevada‑Las Vegas Full‑time | Las Vegas Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the following position. Role The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Space Planning Analyst or Senior Space Planning Analyst to join our team. This position plays a vital role in the effective management and utilization of campus spaces. The successful candidate will support Planning & Construction in maintaining accurate AutoCAD drawings of UNLV owned and leased spaces, coordinate changes with key stakeholders, update data within Archibus Integrated Workplace Space Management software, and help implement a GIS system for campus space management. Responsibilities include developing space plans that maximize utilization, managing small campus moves, scheduling and approving building surveys, managing Archibus user security, providing customer service support, generating reports, and assisting with the Facility & Administration Survey data collection. For the Senior Space Planning Analyst role, additional responsibilities include developing FICM standards, coordinating large moves and projects, overseeing departmental review surveys, and representing the Office of Space Management on university committees. Key Responsibilities Supporting Planning & Construction in maintaining accurate AutoCAD drawings of UNLV owned and leased spaces. Co‑ordinating changes with planning & construction, facilities management, risk management and safety, the registrar’s office, and real estate. Updating data within Archibus Integrated Workplace Space Management software, determining room categories per the Facilities Inventory Classification Manual (FICM) and UNLV standards. Developing space plans that maximize utilization. Co‑ordinating and managing small moves across campus. Collaborating with P&C, RMS, FM, and the registrar’s office on occupancy load and station counts. Scheduling, conducting and approving building surveys to assess space utilization. Managing Archibus user security access process and scheduling introductory training sessions on Archibus Web Central. Handling departmental communications (phone inquiries and emails), providing customer service support, and updating website content. Managing building resource room signage and creating/updating process documentation. Generating simple reports and floor plans as requested. Assisting with the Facility & Administration Survey data collection every 3‑5 years. Performing other related tasks as assigned. Senior Space Planning Analyst Additional Responsibilities Developing FICM standards and interpretations for campus room categories and gross square footage. Ensuring integration of the Workday supervisory organization structure with the Archibus department organization. Co‑ordinating and managing large moves and small projects on campus. Accepting and overseeing building surveys. Scheduling, training, conducting, reviewing and accepting departmental review surveys. Supporting the University Space Committee and representing the office on university committees. Providing technical support for Archibus Integrated Workplace Management Software. Facilitating and supporting space reporting requests, serving as primary contact during the F&A Survey data collection process. Minimum Qualifications Space Planning Analyst Understanding of higher education systems and organizational structure. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain a service‑oriented attitude. Self‑motivated with ability to work with and support a team. On‑site building verification required (involves walking and stair climbing). Demonstrated critical thinking and professional judgment. Senior Space Planning Analyst Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. At least 3 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Archibus Space Management or other database/space management systems. Basic understanding of space management principles and reporting. Familiarity with the Facilities Inventory Classification Manual (FICM). Proficiency in the Google platform. Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Revit. Experience with Esri GIS software.
