CNC Operator

CNC Operator position available in the Dexter, Michigan area working at our client location who is a growing manufacturer.


Contract to hire opportunity with a pay range of $22.00 to $25.00 an hour plus $2.00 per hour shift premium. DOE. Night shift position. Hours are Day Shift 6:00 Am to 4:30 PM Monday throught Friday and Night shift 4:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Monday-Friday. OT may be required. The CNC operator will operate and maintain CNC lathes or mills to produce high-quality parts while meeting production standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities for the CNC Operator position:
-Set up and operate CNC lathes or mills
-Maintain production levels and ensure part quality.
-Perform basic machine maintenance (cleaning, oiling, stocking materials).
-Change tools, drills, and inserts as needed.
-Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
-Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth mics, pin gages, comparators).

Qualifications & Skills for CNC Operator position:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-3-5 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent training.
-Lathe or mill experience
-(Tsugami Swiss-type experience preferred).
-Ability to read blueprints and use non digital measuring equipment accurately.
-Basic computer skills.
-Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
-Self-motivated with willingness to learn machine maintenance.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
