Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized, couples, and family therapy to clients seeking outpatient mental health services.

• Conduct in-depth assessments to fully understand clients’ relational and emotional needs, crafting personalized treatment plans and setting actionable goals collaboratively.

• Utilize family systems theory along with systemic interventions to address intricate relationship dynamics, communication barriers, and ongoing family stressors.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support to ensure the well-being and safety of clients and their families during emergencies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans, adhering to established legal and ethical guidelines.

• Empower clients by educating them on effective communication, coping techniques, and conflict resolution strategies, enhancing their overall relational and emotional health.

• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide a comprehensive and integrated treatment approach for clients.

• Engage in continuous professional development, keeping current with the latest research and practices in marriage and family therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will primarily involve working with a diverse client base including adults, children, and adolescents. You will address a variety of issues ranging from relationship challenges and family conflict to anxiety and depression within the family structure. Your effectiveness in understanding and navigating these dynamics will be vital in promoting healing and positive change.

Qualifications\n

• Valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
