Special Education Teacher – Life Skills
Location: Eudora, KS 66025
Dates: August 2026 – May 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 Hours/Week
Assignment: Full School Year
We’re hiring a Special Education Teacher to support a Middle School Life Skills classroom for the 2026–2027 school year!
This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating a structured, supportive environment and helping students build meaningful academic, functional, behavioral, and life skills.
Position Details:
- Middle School Life Skills classroom
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Full school-year assignment
- Provide individualized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals
- Support development of functional academics, communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and individualized learning strategies
- Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with related service providers, school staff, and families
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages student independence
Requirements:
- Appropriate Kansas Special Education teaching license/certification required
- Experience working in a Life Skills or similar specialized classroom preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to support students with a variety of learning and developmental needs
