Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established evaluations and observational practices.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice control, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical practitioners, and family members to develop unified treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to support ongoing development outside of clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the therapy journey.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation following relevant state, government, and institutional regulations.
• Stay abreast of field advancements through continuous learning and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
