Controller

A growing, family-owned organization is seeking a Multi-Location Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations across multiple business locations. This highly visible leadership role will partner closely with executive management and operational leaders to drive financial performance, standardize processes, improve reporting, and support continued growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting leader who can balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution while managing a distributed accounting function. Responsibilities Lead accounting and financial operations across multiple locations Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators to support business decisions Partner with operations leaders to improve profitability and drive performance improvements Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members Identify and implement process improvements, reporting enhancements, and systems efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA and/or MBA preferred 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience in a multi‑site environment Experience managing accounting teams and developing staff Strong background in financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting, and forecasting Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Proven ability to partner with operations and executive leadership Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, industrial services, or other multi‑location industry experience preferred Performance‑based bonus opportunity Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer This company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
