Phlebotomist - Float

Job Overview Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. This full‑time Phlebotomist Float position is located in Melrose, MA. The planned work schedule is an 8‑hour shift Monday – Friday (hours vary between 7:00am and 6:00pm) with rotating Saturdays. Total hours: 40 hours per week. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program (or 6+ months phlebotomy experience). Preferred Qualifications Current or prior LabCorp experience. 1+ years phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or prior phlebotomist experience is required. Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must be able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Must be at least 21 years old. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour. Float incentive: Additional $1.00hr plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
