Human Resources Manager

You’ll play a vital role in benefits administration, employee and retiree relations, compliance, leave management, and employee engagement while serving as a trusted resource for employees and leaders across the organization. This is an onsite opportunity, working at our corporate office location. What You’ll Do As Human Resources Manager, you will: Support Employees Throughout Their Journey Serve as a trusted HR resource for active, retired, and disabled employees. Respond to employee and management inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality. Partner with leaders to ensure consistent application of policies and employment practices. Lead Benefits Administration Manage employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability benefits, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored programs. Coordinate benefits activities with external vendors and partners. Oversee monthly benefit billing, retirement plan payments, and benefit eligibility processes. Support employees through benefit enrollment, life events, and retirement transitions. Ensure Compliance & Risk Management Administer leave programs including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and workplace accommodations. Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. Coordinate Equal Employment Opportunity and Affluent Action reporting requirements. Prepare and submit required reports including EEO-1, VETS-4212, RUS Form 9, and other regulatory filings. Manage Employee Records & HR Operations Maintain employee records with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes. Manage HR calendars, compliance deadlines, and recurring reporting requirements. Coordinate employment verifications, COBRA administration, and related HR processes. Enhance Employee Engagement Assist with employee recognition programs, company events, and employee-focused initiatives. Support employee education programs, tuition assistance, and Employee Assistance Program administration. Develop and deliver employee communications related to HR programs, policies, and benefits. What We’re Looking For Required Experience Four to six years of progressive Human Resources experience. Demonstrated experience with benefits administration, employee relations, and employment compliance. Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices. Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and experience combinations will be strongly considered. Key Skills & Attributes Extensive knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, COBRA, and employee benefits regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. HRIS experience preferred. Why Blue Ridge Energy?
