Compensation: $180,000–$200,000 base + Bonus

About the Opportunity

\n

We are partnering with a highly regulated, globally recognized financial services organization to hire a Vice President, Business Internal Audit .

\n

\n

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing Internal Audit function with significant exposure to senior leadership, regulators, and a broad range of business operations.

\n

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial services internal audit, experience leading audits across multiple business areas, and an interest in developing and managing a small team.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Lead and oversee risk-based audits across corporate functions, operations, compliance, and risk management.
\n
• Manage the full audit lifecycle, including planning, testing, documentation, findings, and reporting.
\n
• Provide oversight, coaching, and development to junior auditors, including direct line management responsibilities.
\n
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and challenge existing processes and controls.
\n
• Support executive-level audit reporting, management information (MI), and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvements in audit methodology and risk assessment.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• Extensive internal audit experience within financial services, ideally banking.
\n
• Broad business audit exposure across multiple risk areas rather than a single specialization.
\n
• Proven experience leading audits, reviewing workpapers, and mentoring junior team members.
\n
• Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and regulatory expectations.
\n
• Ability to balance audit oversight with hands-on execution when required.
\n
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
\n
• Bachelor's degree required; CIA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications preferred.
\n

Nice to Have: Experience auditing third-party risk management, finance, or compliance, alongside exposure to executive-level audit reporting.
