Sr. Director of Software Engineering, Audit Tech

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 10+ years of applied experience and 5+ years leading technologists in managing and resolving complex technical challenges
• Strong financial technology background and understanding of data-intensive applications
• Expertise in Java, Python, Angular, and GenAI
• Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS
• Proficiency in Oracle database management and optimization
• Proven success leading large-scale software development projects
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams, and to serve as an influential subject matter expert
• Experience managing budgets and resources for software development projects
• Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering models using enterprise-authorized tools, including governance, human-in-the-loop decision-making, quality gates, measurement frameworks, and secure handling of sensitive information
• Deep understanding of responsible AI risk, controls, and resilience and security expectations at scale, with the ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption, portfolio governance, and reuse-first strategies
• Preferred: Working knowledge of public cloud, cloud-native applications, microservices, databases, and data lakes

• Lead multiple software engineering teams and foster innovation and continuous improvement
• Set strategy and vision, align work with architecture and data standards, and guide technology selection and the use of AI in transformation efforts
• Build partnerships with senior stakeholders, business users, product leaders, and technology leaders across Audit and Corporate Technology
• Work with business users to understand requirements and turn them into technical solutions
• Oversee concurrent projects throughout the software development lifecycle and deliver them on time and within budget
• Promote software development best practices, including Agile and DevOps
• Mentor and develop software engineers and development leads in technical and leadership skills
• Establish and implement development standards, methodologies, and quality assurance processes
• Manage departmental resource allocation, budgets, and strategic planning
• Set and scale multi-department strategies for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation, using enterprise-authorized tools to advance speed, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Establish portfolio-level standards for AI-orchestrated delivery workflows, release governance, automated test modernization, resilience engineering, and incident response acceleration, with safeguards for validation, security, resilience, traceability, and reuse
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to support cross-domain reuse and measurable capacity gains
