Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst/Senior Analyst

As an Individual Contributor, this role performs financial planning and analysis activities, including financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, to support business decision-making. Depending on experience and level, this role ranges from executing core analytical processes to leading financial planning efforts and serving as a strategic partner to business units. The position contributes to interpreting financial results, identifying trends and risks, and delivering insights that inform operational and financial decisions. More experienced incumbents operate with increased independence, lead planning processes, and provide recommendations that influence business outcomes.Preference will be given to candidates who currently reside in Hawaii. This position is required to report onsite at Bank of Hawaii Tower in Downtown Honolulu.Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.Level II: 1 – 2 years of work experience in accounting, finance or related field. Financial reporting experience preferred. Banking or financial services industry preferred.Level III: 2 – 3 years of work experience in accounting, finance or related field. Financial reporting experience preferred. Banking or financial services industry preferred.Senior Analyst: 3 – 4 years of accounting or finance work experience, including 1-2 years financial reporting experience. Banking or financial services industry preferred.Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point). Knowledge of or ability to use bank systems and software preferred. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Must be analytical, detail oriented and organized. Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
