Licensed Massage Therapist Job Description We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our spa team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being for our diverse clientele. Your expertise in various massage techniques and thorough understanding of human physiology will help clients achieve their health and wellness goals. Responsibilities Provide a variety of massage therapy treatments tailored to individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safe, effective therapy sessions. Maintain clear communication with clients about their treatment goals, progress, and any relevant medical or physiological considerations. Ensure all treatments adhere to health and safety standards, including CPR certification and proper sanitation procedures. Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend follow-up treatments or lifestyle adjustments as needed. Keep detailed records of each session, including client feedback, treatment details, and progress notes for ongoing care. Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and medical terminology to continually enhance your skills and service quality. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification. 2 years of experience (we are also open to motivated newly licensed individuals). Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess clients' needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Excellent client communication skills to build trust and ensure a positive client experience. Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and injury recovery. Certifications required for safety compliance. Prior experience in a med spa or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for helping others achieve wellness is essential.
