Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with musculoskeletal injuries, assessing functional limitations to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive continuum of care for patients.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, while ensuring adherence to patient safety and customer service standards.
• Monitor and document patient progress rigorously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
• Conduct regular re-evaluations to assess the patient's response to therapy, modifying goals based on progress and feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant laws and best practices, including billing and insurance processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily involve adult patients managing a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-operative recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will cater to individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages, providing care that is tailored to each patient's unique needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy issued by the Florida Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment and treatment.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation facility with a focus on orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with patient management systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Previous involvement in community outreach or education programs related to physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
