Job Description
MEDSURG / TELEMETRY RN - MEDSURG / TELEMETRY

Schedule:
- Shift: Nights, 3x12
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:
- Required License: NY RN License in hand
- Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS certification must be included with submittal)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in MedSurg/Telemetry
- EMR Experience: Epic proficiency

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patients in a MedSurg/Telemetry unit, including telemetry and dysrhythmia recognition.
- Administer medications and manage blood products, including following heparin protocols.
- Provide care for patients with feeding tubes and tracheostomies.
- Utilize various oxygen delivery devices and conduct wound care, including Wound VAC.
- Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams as needed.
- Conduct phlebotomy and central/PICC/port care.

Compliance / Notes:
- Must float to other units as needed.
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrubs: Navy bottom; navy or white top
- Background checks and other compliance items handled case-by-case by the facility.
