Accounts Payable SpecialistWe are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced shared services team supporting high-volume invoice processing across the U.S., Canada, and manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed transactional work, problem-solving, and collaborating across teams to help keep payment processes running smoothly and accurately. This is a 6- to 12-month contract role with the potential for extension and to convert to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Pay is $27/hour, with full benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, and medical, dental, and vision insurance options. This is a hybrid position requiring you to be in the Tampa office a couple of days per week, including a couple of Fridays each month.Key Responsibilities:Process high-volume accounts payable transactions using 3-way matchingEnsure timely and accurate invoice processing through systems such as SAP, Fusion, Wise, or related platformsReview and resolve parked and blocked invoices by partnering with buyers, vendors, and internal stakeholdersReconcile vendor statements and respond to internal and external payment inquiriesSupport compliance with company AP policies, procedures, and internal controlsAssist with process improvement initiatives and special projects within the shared services environmentHelp maintain accuracy and efficiency during month-end close and other peak-volume periodsQualifications:2-4 years of accounts payable experienceHigh school diploma required; college degree preferredExperience processing 75-100 invoices per day in a high-volume environmentWorking knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice matchingExperience with ERP systems, with SAP strongly preferredExperience with OCR/document imaging systems, preferably ReadSoftStrong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and ExcelIntermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tablesStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work overtime during peak demand periods and month-end closeConsumer products industry experience preferredWhat We're Looking For:Strong attention to detail and sense of urgencyAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesComfortable collaborating across departments to resolve invoice and payment issuesA team player who can also identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
