Payrate: $35.00- $40.00/hr.


Typical Day in the Role
The team is seeking a contract Market Research Analyst to support the execution of quantitative research studies. This role will focus on survey development and programming, data processing and crosstab analysis, and development of clear, insight-driven reports.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical execution skills with a foundational understanding of survey design and the ability to manage timelines independently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

• Survey Design & Programming

• Develop initial drafts of survey questionnaires aligned to research objectives
• Apply best practices in survey design including question clarity, logical flow, and avoidance of bias
• Program surveys using standard platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Decipher), including logic, piping, and randomization
• Conduct thorough QA to ensure survey accuracy and a seamless respondent experience
• Data Processing & Crosstab Development
• Clean and prepare datasets for analysis (coding, recoding, variable setup)
• Build structured crosstabs aligned to the analysis plan and business questions
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across cuts and key variables
• Identify and flag anomalies or data quality issues

• Analysis & Insights Support

• Execute defined analysis plans using descriptive statistics and basic analytical techniques
• Analyze crosstabs to identify key differences, trends, and meaningful patterns
• Validate findings against hypotheses and flag unexpected results
• Support development of clear, data-backed insights tied to business needs
• Reporting & Deliverables
• Develop draft reports (PowerPoint or Word) summarizing key findings
• Translate data into clear, concise insights with supporting evidence
• Build charts and tables that simplify complex information for stakeholders
• Iterate on deliverables based on feedback

• Project & Timeline Management

• Own execution timelines for assigned research projects
• Proactively communicates risks or delays well in advance and proposes mitigation plans
• Ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards
• Maintain organization of files, outputs, and project documentation

• Research Execution Support
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior researchers to refine research plans
  • Ensure outputs align to business questions and stakeholder needs
  • Support survey and research reviews to improve clarity, rigor, and actionability

Qualifications Required

• 2-5+ years of experience in market research or analytics
• Strong experience with survey programming platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Decipher)
• Experience drafting surveys and applying basic survey design principles
• Proficiency in Excel (crosstabs, pivot tables, data cleaning)
• Experience with statistical tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
• Experience working with large-scale survey datasets
• Experience in creating research reports and data visualizations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Proven ability to manage timelines and communicate proactively

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $35.00 - $40.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
