Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for maximum flexibility in your work-life balance. You will connect with patients through a robust telehealth platform, ensuring the delivery of quality care from wherever you are located. While the primary hours are anticipated to be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some scheduling flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and develop effective treatment strategies.

• Create personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and fostering resilience among patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their experiences and build coping mechanisms.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring timely assistance for patients in need.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and external resources available for support.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress, in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to promote a unified approach to trauma-informed care.

• Stay current on the latest therapeutic research and methodologies related to trauma therapy to continuously enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is primarily on individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, combat veterans, and others dealing with the profound effects of traumatic events. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play an essential role in providing compassionate support and evidence-based therapies that empower patients on their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Active and unrestricted licensing as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong foundation in trauma theory and treatment modalities, with specific experience in trauma-focused therapy practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Capability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and efficient use of virtual communication tools.

• A collaborative spirit, with a readiness to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
