Assistant Training Coordinator

$3,861 - $6,276 per month

Job Title: Assistant Training Coordinator (Analyst I) Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month (minimum salary for new-to-state candidates applies) Department: California Department of Insurance, Enforcement Branch Responsibilities Coordinate training activities for sworn peace officers and non-sworn personnel under the general supervision of the Supervisor I, Training Unit. Conduct detailed analysis, develop training plans, policies, and objectives. Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Minimum Requirements Classification: Analyst I (JC-522105) Desirable Qualifications Experience in conducting detailed analysis. Experience in developing training plans, policies, and objectives. Knowledge and experience with law enforcement training including POST training requirements. Knowledge of POST, community college, state and private sector training resources and experience in procurement of such training. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Customer service orientation; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization. Strong skills in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Experience with database applications such as Oracle, Access, etc. Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with extreme independence under general supervision or in a team setting. Willingness to learn and adapt to change. Working Conditions Work in a law enforcement environment that includes presence of firearms. Appropriate office dress. Must be able to work in a high-rise building. Occasional travel within and/or outside California via private or public transportation. Hybrid telework is possible; telework amount at discretion of branch; in-person attendance required as operational needs dictate. Employees must report to work with minimal notice if urgent need arises.
