Legal Assistant - Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights

Jennings Haug Keleher McLeod Waterfall LLP, a respected multi-jurisdictional law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in our Central Phoenix office. This role focuses on bankruptcy creditors’ rights, supporting attorneys across a range of matters in a fast-paced legal environment. The position combines document management, court filings, client communication, and day-to-day administrative support. The Legal Assistant will play a key role in maintaining case organization, meeting deadlines, and ensuring a smooth workflow across matters. Key Responsibilities Support multiple attorneys across bankruptcy creditors’ rights and transactional law Prepare, format, and e-file legal documents in state and federal courts Manage calendars, deadlines, and case files to ensure timely execution of deliverables Draft legal correspondence and supporting documentation Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Manage case files and workflows in a paper-light environment, utilizing electronic filing systems and document management tools Maintain organized and accurate case records and supporting documentation Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in bankruptcy creditors’ rights and transactional law Must have experience in corporate bankruptcy matters (not solely consumer bankruptcy) Experience with state and federal e-filing processes and procedures Working knowledge of court rules, procedures, and civil litigation processes Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice-to-Haves Hands-on experience with Arizona state e-filing systems preferred, experience with other state filing systems will also be considered Prior experience in a multi-attorney support environment The position is based in Central Phoenix In-office collaboration is important to support attorney communication, client engagement, and workflow coordination $37.00 – $45.00 per hour, depending on experience Hybrid work flexibility 401(k) with company matching Health insurance, including health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) options Paid time off and company holidaysLong-term disability and life insurance Employee assistance program Why Join Us Well established, multi-jurisdictional law firm with a strong reputation Collaborative and professional work environment Exposure to complex legal matters across multiple practice areas Stable, long-term opportunity with growth potential #J-18808-Ljbffr Jennings Haug Keleher McLeod Waterfall LLP
