Accounts Payable Clerk

An Accounts Payable Clerk processes, verifies, and reconciles an organization's outgoing bills and invoices. They maintain vendor relationships by ensuring payments are accurate and on schedule, protecting company cash flow and preventing late fees

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to emails and phone calls on a timely basis.
• Problem solves issues with minimal guidance
• Have a continuous improvement mindset
• Process carrier and supplier invoices through our different Transport and Warehouse management system in an efficient manner with 100% accuracy.
• Code/index supporting paperwork such as Proof of Deliveries (POD's) with 100% accuracy
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations
• Create and send out customer ageing and statements
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues
• Upload documents to customer portals for billing
• Provide back cover for colleagues that may be on PTO or other leave
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a accounts payable or customer service environment
• Experience with ERP systems
• Intermediate excel skills

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
