Associate Executive Director

Essential Functions :
• Supports and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to assure a balanced operation and provides reports on current operations.
• Develops and directs member engagement strategies and programs, including retention and enrollment initiatives.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and directs staff and volunteers. Evaluates staff and volunteer performance and initiates action to meet and exceed goal expectations.
• Prepare statistical, analytical, and narrative reports regarding program accomplishments and goal achievement.
• Develops strategies and initiates programs and actions to engage community leaders and agencies in mutual goal setting and achievement.
• Provides leadership support in developing new sources of funds, and in meeting branch and Association fund raising goals.
• Monitors and takes action in areas of staff and volunteer customer service interactions with membership. Engages membership in formal and informal assessment of staff performance in delivering quality services.
• Implement, monitor, update, risk management plans specific to child abuse prevention, facility and equipment safety, aquatics, records security, and others as identified.
Membership Duties: Directs all aspects of membership for the Branch including program creation for recruitment of new members, systems and procedures for intake and tracking members, and member retention practices. Recruits, trains, and monitors performance of membership staff to meet and exceed customer service level goals.
Aquatics: Directs the development, planning, introduction, and administration of a wide range of aquatic programs for a Branch through a staff of certified professionals.
Health and Wellness: Develops, organizes, implements, and monitors a range of health and wellness programs based on member's requests, research, and previous successes. YMCA Competencies:

Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Human Services, Recreation, Business, or related field.
• Five plus years of management experience, preferably in YMCA or other non-profit agency.
• Experience in budgeting, financial management and development.
• Ability to direct, motivate, and evaluate staff and volunteer performance to meet organization goals.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
• Knowledge of, and experience in, developing new programs and activities for unique member experiences.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with member and staff populations of widely varying backgrounds and culture.
