Job Description

This role focuses on assembling mechanical sub-assemblies and complete 3D printer builds by following established processes and specifications. You will work with computer-based diagrams and instructions, use hand and power tools, and ensure products are assembled and packaged accurately and safely. The position encourages cross-functional development, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and complete 3D printer builds according to established processes and specifications.
• Follow current and future 3D printer assembly procedures with close attention to detail and quality standards.
• Assemble and package products in line with documented instructions and production requirements.
• Use computer diagrams and digital instructions to correctly assemble products and verify component placement.
• Identify and report any quality issues or assembly discrepancies to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Operate effectively in both self-directed and team-based work environments to meet production goals.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assembly tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas to support a safe and efficient workplace.
• Support other work areas or processes during downtime or extended production runs as needed.
• Lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds periodically as part of daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of mechanical assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of experience using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
• At least 1 year of computer experience, including the ability to follow computer-based diagrams and instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how components fit and function together.
• Ability to read and interpret computer diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds periodically.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with packaging and packing assembled products.
• Experience in production or machine operating within a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with 3D printer assembly or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
• Willingness to become cross-functional and support multiple areas within the operation.

The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable temperature year-round. Safety is a priority, and team members must wear steel-toed boots and eye protection on the production floor at all times.

This is a Contract position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
