Description:
We are looking for an Emergency Medicine Physician to fill a locum need.
The schedule includes open shift coverage with 9- or 12-hour shifts.
No on-call responsibilities are required.
Inpatient responsibilities are not included in this position.
The emergency department averages 77 patients per day.
Physician coverage consists of 1-2 during the day and 1 at night.
Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers is expected.
The facility has a trauma level of 3 and 250 beds.
There are approximately 33,000 annual visits.
The peak shifts are typically from 11 am to 11 pm.
Less than 3% of patients are transferred out.
Open shifts include various dates in July and August.
Candidates with an active Iowa license need to specify their available shifts in July.
IMLC candidates should provide information on available shifts in August.
