Accounting Supervisor - Bond (P328)

Job Description Summary: Salary: $81,868.80 - $122,803.20 annually The Accounting Supervisor supervises and supports direct reports and prepares and analyzes reports and reconciliations of bond CIP projects to support the cash flow management practices. Communicates status of project funding and expected future funding needs. Ensures compliance with bond related regulations and requirements. Supervises staff related to Bonds/Fixed Assets/Special Projects Prepares and analyzes monthly review of bond project activity Prepares weekly cash flow review of bond projects Prepares CIP schedules and communicates with project managers regarding funding and cash flow status Prepares and analyzes bond project activity and reports Records accounting transactions Assists with special accounting projects, as necessary Assists other departments with accounting data as needed Identify training budget needs Performance review alignment Job description review Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts Perform other duties as required Required Experience: Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in accounting related field Desired Experience: Audit experience Supervisory experience Required Education/Certification/License: Bachelor’s degree in accounting Valid Texas driver’s license Desired Education/Certification/License: None Success Factors/Job Competencies: Able to work as a team Able to support supervised staff while still maintaining individual responsibilities Detail oriented on original work Able to think analytically to determine best cash management needs and strategies Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
