About the Position

• Join a premier, multi-facility regional health system in west-central Ohio offering a permanent, high-priority Cardiothoracic Surgery position. Operating within a comprehensive 300-bed regional medical center that serves a 10-county catchment area, this role focuses on performing advanced surgical procedures of the heart, lungs, and chest while collaborating with an elite cardiovascular team.

• Perform a full spectrum of complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures within a state-of-the-art operative suite.
• Manage comprehensive pre-operative evaluations and specialized post-operative critical care for surgical patients.
• Work in close, daily alignment with established non-invasive cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and critical care teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Participate in inpatient surgical consultations, emergency trauma screenings, and longitudinal outpatient follow-up clinics.
• Contribute to the clinical excellence, quality metrics, and progressive growth of the regional heart and vascular program.

• Full-time, permanent schedule combining dedicated operating room block time, inpatient rounds, and outpatient clinic hours.
• Shared surgical call rotation schedule to be detailed during the initial interview process.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Active Ohio state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain Ohio licensure).
• Proven track record of surgical excellence across both cardiac and thoracic modalities.
• Ability to meet all medical staff credentialing and hospital surgical privileging standards.
