About the Position

Join a premier, partner-backed healthcare provider in west-central Ohio offering a permanent, high-priority Infectious Disease position. Working within a comprehensive 300-bed regional medical center and an expansive multi-facility network, this role focuses on diagnosing and treating complex infections while providing critical system-wide consultation, infection control, and antimicrobial stewardship guidance.

• Diagnose and provide comprehensive medical management for a wide spectrum of complex bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
• Provide expert inpatient clinical consultations on high-acuity, complicated hospital cases and manage longitudinal outpatient specialty clinic follow-ups.
• Serve as a key clinical leader supporting the hospital's active infection prevention and control programs.
• Lead and provide critical guidance for the system's antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and reduce resistance.
• Maintain efficient, thorough, and compliant electronic medical documentation for all acute and chronic infectious disease encounters.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Infectious Disease.
• Active Ohio state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain Ohio licensure).
• Strong clinical background in hospital epidemiology, public health guidelines, and advanced antimicrobial therapies.
• Ability to meet all medical staff credentialing and inpatient hospital privileging standards.

• Full-time, permanent schedule integrating dedicated outpatient clinic hours and structured inpatient consultation rounds.
• Shared infectious disease consultation call rotation to be detailed directly during the initial interview phase.

• Advanced evaluation and management of severe, complex, and resistant infectious processes.
• Implementation of system-wide infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship protocols.
• High-efficiency multi-setting clinical workflow management (ICU, inpatient floors, and outpatient clinic).
• Exceptional analytical judgment, outbreak management, and meticulous clinical documentation.
• Patient-centered communication tailored for complex, multi-system illness and preventative counseling.
