Job Order ID: 217052 Now Hiring: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Diverse Staffing is hiring an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator for a temp-to-hire manufacturing position in Indianapolis, IN. This is a hands-on production role for someone with industrial or manufacturing sewing experience who wants steady hours, weekly pay, and long-term work. This is not a casual sewing job. This position requires sitting for long periods, repetitive hand movement, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a loud, non-climate-controlled production facility. What You'll Do Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble tarps and tarp systems. Inspect materials and finished products for defects. Read measurements and use basic math to complete sewing work accurately. Follow production, quality, and safety standards. Keep your work area clean and organized. Communicate material, machine, or quality issues to a team lead or supervisor. Must-Have Requirements At least 1 year of industrial or manufacturing sewing experience . Ability to sit and sew for 8-10 hours during the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally . Basic math skills. Ability to read a tape measure. Reliable attendance. Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays when required. Nice-to-Have Experience Manufacturing or production experience. Blueprint, pattern, or work instruction reading. Experience following quality or safety procedures. Experience sewing tarps, heavy fabric, vinyl, canvas, or similar materials.
