Guided by our core values of integrity, community, and meaningful impact, we aim to improve the quality of life for all who call our developments home.We're offering our Controller - Head of Financial Operations:Competitive salary of $80,000-$120,000 per year that reflects your experience and qualificationsPTOGrowth opportunitiesMentor/Apprentice programMission-driven work that makes a real impactDO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?8+ years of finance experience5+ years of leadership experience in a senior financial roleBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related fieldHigh proficiency in Excel, financial software, and modeling toolsStrategic problem-solving skills, an innovative mindset, and the ability to execute solutionsStrong management and leadership skillsClear and effective communication and presentation skillsThe following would be preferred but aren't required:MBA or CPAReal estate development or construction experienceKnowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, specifically LIHTC and HTCWHAT WILL YOU DO?No two days are the same for our Controller - Head of Financial Operations! You're an important member of our executive team, providing quality guidance, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and setting the stage for future growth and development. In this finance role, you will:Lead all aspects of budgeting and financial reporting and make sure we comply with local, state, and federal regulations and tax lawsImprove and develop financial planning and analysis strategiesManage cash flow and banking relationshipsImprove internal controls to better protect our assetsAnalyze financial systems and technologies and identify areas for improvement/optimizationMentor high-performing finance and accounting staffSupport real estate development by analyzing multifamily developments financed by Low-Income Tax Credits, preparing projections, and measuring investment valueCreate detailed pre-investment reviews and assist the quality control review committeeEnsure compliance and identify new opportunities regarding LIHTC and Historic Tax CreditsREADY TO APPLY AND ADVANCE YOUR CAREER?We can't wait to meet our new Controller - Head of Financial Operations!
