Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Prepare and paint surfaces, tape beds and texture walls. Knowledge of all phases of painting, finish wood products, stain matching and the ability to specify paint, stain, varnish and other finishes. Write specifications for proper preparation and painting of various surfaces and materials for painting vendors. Take care of airless spray rig and repair as needed. (THE SELECTED CANDIDATE(S) FOR THIS POSITION MUST TAKE AND PASS A PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION) Responsibilities Prepares paint jobs as required per specifications Obtains cost estimates and orders material needed for each project Prepares surface, cleans up and washes tools Tapes, beds and textures new or repaired surfaces Writes specifications for vendors Performs pre-bid walkthroughs with vendors, supervises vendors' painting projects, and gives final sign-off Enters time, reads e-mail, and receives purchase orders Moves furniture Schedules work with departments Performs plaster work on new or repaired surfaces Performs all other related duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma, GED or higher Three (3) full-time years of experience as a painter (five (5) years and supervisory experience preferred) Valid Class 'C' driver license Knowledge of materials for preparation and painting, safety requirements, and proper procedures to prepare surfaces for painting Ability to properly clean paint, tape, and bed tools Must pass Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department background check and receive approvals to work in and around jail facilities This position may require overtime, rotating shifts, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
