Adjunct Instructor, English for Speakers of Other Languages Position ID: EOC-ADJ-ESOL 8471 Responsibilities The ESOL Instructor reports to the Associate Coordinator of Instructional Services and performs the following duties: Conducts classes in academic areas, including but not limited to ESOL I & II & III, Reading Preparation and Academic Preparation; Prepare all necessary reports; Meet with Associate Coordinator of Instructional Services or Counselor when necessary; Perform related duties as described in Faculty Handbook/Faculty Agreement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in English or related field from an accredited college or university. Three years related teaching experience in a field that demonstrates the ability to teach ESOL. Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Bilingual Education preferred. Instructional experience, preferably with an ethnically diverse urban population. Ability to work with individuals in an enthusiastic and encouraging way; excellent oral and written communication skills. Salary and Benefits Salary: $47,000.
