Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (3x12, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a MedSurg environment
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records system
• Float to other units as required based on facility need
• Complete pre-start facility modules as assigned prior to first shift

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license – must be in hand at time of submission (no exceptions)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required – must be included at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC charting – hard requirement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Comfort with floating to multiple units within a large hospital system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
