Schedule: Day coverage as scheduled by site; site notes may include call coverage one to two times per week with occasional 24 hour weekend call; call response time 30 minutes
Setting: Hospital based and ambulatory surgery center coverage; may float between sites during the week
Travel and Lodging: Travel and lodging support may be available
EMR: Epic

Position Overview

• Provide anesthesiology coverage as assigned
• Case mix and supervision model are site dependent
• Spinals, blocks, and epidurals proficiency required
• Case logs required

Clinical Scope

• General, vascular, neuro, OB and GYN, and urology (site dependent)
• Endoscopy, ENT, cataracts, orthopedics, and pediatric cases as assigned (site dependent)

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology as required by the site
• Active North Carolina medical license
• North Carolina controlled substance registration and DEA
• ACLS and BLS through AHA; PALS as required by the site
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
