Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver Location: Newport Beach, CA Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule Daytime Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Thu 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail center location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout shopping areas, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points, loading areas, and other assigned locations, helping to confirm that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas and that property rules are followed. Support daily operations by observing customer and employee activity, providing directions and assistance, and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A state, county, and/or city issued security‑related license is preferred. The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
