Fund Accounting - Senior Manager

We are a provider of specialized fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds, specifically: Buy‐out, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Fund‐of‐ Funds. For new General Partners, we provide consulting services to help accelerate the launch of their funds in addition to our full fund administration services. For established General Partners, we provide administration services and technology to whole fund families or select funds, to help scale their fund operations rapidly and efficiently.

Job Description:

The Senior Manager at Standish is responsible for managing and leading their client engagements. The Senior Manager is responsible for supervising the Manager, Fund Controller, Associate and Investor Relations Associate in matters of fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation. The Senior Manager is the main point of contact with the client and service providers for clients.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare/review quarterly and annual financial statements and limited partner reports for clients, including but not limited to the review of all journal entries, capital account allocations, supporting schedules, calculations of management fees and carried interest.
• Analyze and review data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors.
• Supervise the audit and tax preparation process working in conjunction with clients, engagement teams, valuation firms and outside public accounting firms.
• Main point of contact with client to keep abreast of ongoing client activities. This includes assisting clients in planning for capital calls, distributions, filing form ADVs and audits. Help clients manage relationships with auditors, tax managers and legal counsel.
• Supervise client engagement teams to make sure client deliverables are met in a timely manner keeping in mind engagement efficiency and profitability.
• Recruit, train and mentor junior staff members
• Assist Directors in sourcing new clients, issuing proposals and overall business development

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree required (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred)
• Minimum 2-3 years of public accounting experience or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of VC/PE fund experience or experience with a fund administrator
• CPA/ACA required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, eFront or AltaReturn

Compensation Ranges Annually (varies by city):

• Denver: $140,000+
• Bay Area: $145,000+

*Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
