F&B Supervisor

Position Overview: Responsible for supervising restaurant shift in the completion of assigned duties, guest service, set-up and clean up, according to standards of service.Essential Job Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsProvide clear direction to restaurant staff, assigning work and instructing staff in details of work. Resolve customer issues and complications, by researching the situation and determining most effective solution. Make decisions based on good judgment, accommodating unusual circumstances.Authorize revenue allowances to remedy problems, only after alternative solutions have been offeredEnsure adequate service, according to labor standards and functions. Check staff attendance according to schedules, adjust and reassign server stations, as necessary, in order to provide quality service during functionsSupervise the set up of the restaurant, to include placement of linens, silver, china, and glasswareVisually inspect restaurant areas and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set upEnsure service standards are met throughout the restaurant operations team during service.Verbally communicate, in a calm, positive demeanor, during the course of service with the kitchen, service areas, beverage, and engineering staff, as well as the guests to ensure quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standardsWalk around tables and throughout room during service to inquire and ascertain guest satisfaction or handle any employee needs and assist as neededSupervise clean-up of restaurant and proper breakdown and storage of equipmentPrepare any necessary reportsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedThe employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job descriptionMaintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests; please refer to Section 7.0 in the Associate Handbook for specific examples.Maintains strong influence within all hiring, training, performance evaluations, discipline and/or termination decisions.Responsible for receiving, processing and investigating complaints made per the existing harassment policy. #J-18808-Ljbffr Nashville Downtown Hotel Llc
