We are looking for a motivated Customer Service Representative ( Customs deparment) to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is perfect for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, working with people, with strong focus on accuracy and managing orders/shipments in a fast-paced environment. You will be the first point of contact for clients, truckers, and carriers, ensuring shipments are accurate, timely, and smoothly processed.

Location: Port of Oakland (west oakland)
Schedule: 8am-5pm
Pay rate: $25-$27

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Communication

• Serve as the primary contact for customers, truckers, and carriers regarding shipments and port-related inquiries

• Confirm order and shipment details via phone and email

• Provide timely follow-up and maintain excellent customer service

Order & Shipment Management

• Process and manage a high volume of customer orders and shipment details

• Monitor and update shipment statuses in internal systems and portals

• Schedule and confirm appointments for pickups and deliveries

Documentation & Compliance

• Collect, review, and maintain shipment documentation for accuracy and compliance

• Maintain accurate records in our system in compliance with company policies and port regulations
• High-volume data entry with strong focus on accuracy

Coordination & Operations Support

• Work closely with port, warehouse personnel, and drivers to ensure timely loading, unloading, and delivery

• Support dispatch and operations teams as needed

Payments & Financial Processing

• Collect and process payments from clients as required

Issue Resolution

• Investigate and resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, or other issues

Qualifications:

• Experienced in invoicing, billing, and accounts-related documentation (1 year)
• Skilled in high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy (1 year)
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance
• Dependable attendance record and strong work ethic
• Experienced in dispatching and coordinating transportation activities (1 year)
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Capable of adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment
