Our client, a social services organization dedicated to supporting community well-being, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be part of the customer support department supporting program applicants and recipients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, empathy, and a dedicated work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: East Hartford, CT

Pay Range: $21

Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00 to 4:30), Weekends OFF!

What's the Job?

• Answering inbound calls from program applicants and recipients related to social service programs.
• Accurately documenting all interactions with callers.
• Following scripts to ensure proper procedures are adhered to.
• Providing clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements.
• Communicating trends in caller questions and concerns to call center leadership.

What's Needed?

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; six months minimum experience in a call center environment; associate degree or higher can be substituted.
• Ability to pass a 30 wpm typing test.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
