Customer Service Representative

Our client, a social services organization dedicated to supporting community well-being, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be part of the Customer Support Department supporting program applicants and recipients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, compassion, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: East Hartford, CT

Pay Range: $21

Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), Weekends OFF!

What's the Job?

• Answer inbound calls from program applicants and recipients related to social service programs.

• Accurately document all interactions with callers to ensure proper record-keeping.

• Follow scripts to ensure adherence to established procedures and provide consistent service.

• Provide clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements.

• Communicate trends in caller questions and concerns to call center leadership for continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher can be substituted for experience.

• Minimum of six months experience in a call center environment or related customer service role.

• Ability to pass a 30 WPM typing test and background check, including a drug test.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
