Job Description

Job Title: OB
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $203 - $218/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OB for a temporary assignment in Topeka, Kansas. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OB:
• Provide Ob/GYN specialist coverage on a full-time basis, accommodating 1-2 locums physicians
• Conduct clinic sessions 2-3 days per week, seeing approximately 25-30 patients per day
• Participate in a 1:6 call rotation, covering emergency room, GYN surgery, labor and delivery, triage, consults, and transfers for high-risk care
• Perform all general Ob/GYN procedures including D&C, laparoscopy, C-sections, and other standard procedures
• Provide post-call coverage in the clinic or OR during morning hours as scheduled
• Handle GYN surgery and labor and delivery responsibilities during on-call shifts
• Manage consults and transfers for high-risk patient care
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all patient documentation and charting
• Collaborate with available support staff including scheduling nurses and rooming assistants (MAs) within a pod-based clinic environment
• Coordinate clinic call coverage through Health Connections as the first point of contact
• Provide both clinic and call coverage access as needed
• Work ongoing from end of September with flexibility to accommodate full-time scheduling requirements
