Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, documenting client history and presenting issues to inform treatment strategies.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that encompass therapeutic modalities suited to individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches to foster healing and personal growth.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and support recovery.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff to develop cohesive intervention strategies.

• Provide referrals to additional services or specialists when necessary, ensuring clients have access to a comprehensive continuum of care.

• Assist clients and their families in understanding and managing mental health challenges, offering tools and strategies to promote wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and empathy in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth or remote environment.

• Experience using electronic health record systems, with a preference for familiarity with AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and ongoing developments in the field of psychotherapy.

• Understanding of co-occurring disorders, including mental health and substance use issues, is advantageous.
